Description

Provides temporary financial assistance to honorably discharged indigent veterans and their families of St. Clair County who are ineligible for other assistance. Assistance is given in the form of checks to vendors for electric assistance. No cash goes directly to client.

Mon-Fri - 9:00am to 12:00pm (Noon) and 1:00pm to 4:00pm

Required Documents

- Form DD 214 indicating Honorable Discharge - State Driver's License or State ID - Birth Certificate - Social Security Card - Death Certificate (In the case of a widow) - Proof of Income for last 30 days - Utility Bills - Marriage License - Divorce Decree - Custody Papers

Eligibility

- Person must be honorably discharged veteran or widow of same - Persons able to work are expected to maintain consistent job search and to provide proof of employment search - Age 21 years and older
