Participants get to go on field trips and there are on site activities that may include fitness, sensory, arts and crafts, playground and computer access.                 Description

                Provides services to adults to address participant goals around socialization, communication, work skills, community access and therapy needs. Individuals bring their own lunches. Staff can administer medication. Services are provided Monday through Friday (daytime hours) depending on available funding. Limited before and after care is available. Goals include: skill development, volunteering, community access and participation in on-site and off-site activities. Productive activities are outcome based and include volunteer jobs on-site and in the community. All staff have training in Level 1 Med Aide, CPR and First Aid.

                    Description

                    Building Employment Skills Training (BEST): Works with individuals to help equip individuals with important job and workplace skills and to develop the confidence needed to succeed in the workforce. This program is individualized and the area of focus varies from person to person. Skills worked on may include: interpersonal skills such as communication, social awareness, team work, accepting criticism, and professional etiquette. Additional areas which are addressed include building stamina and increasing speed.

                      Description

                      In-Home Respite: Reimburses families for wages they pay to a respite provider. The family is responsible for hiring, training, supervision and termination of the respite provider. Each family will receive a pre-approved annual funding allocation based on their needs. The reimbursement can be used to pay for respite care that is provided in the family's home, the respite provider's home or in the community.

                        Description

                        Adult Recreation Services: Offers community-based individual, small and large group recreation activities, includes, but not limited to, sports, classes, health and wellness, leisure and more. Also, offers the following Special Olympic teams: Bocce Ball, Bowling and Skiing. Teen Club: An after-school program that builds confidence and socialization skills in a safe and supportive environment. Activities include cooking, crafts, field trips, science experiments, outside activities and more. Teen Club is offered in six school districts: St. Charles, Francis Howell, Fort Zumwalt, Wentzville and Boonslick State School. Transportation is provided by school districts to Teen Club site but parents/caregivers are responsible for pick up. Snacks are provided to enrolled students.

                            Description

                            Part-time individualized service that focuses on increasing skills, promoting independence, maximizing self-determination and increasing participation in community. Services may include help with budgeting and paying bills, meal planning and cooking, medical appointments, home management, etc. Provides services to adults 21 and older in apartments, condominiums and homes of one's choosing in the community. Typically provides less than 10 hours of individualized support per week and focuses on providing services to help maintain independence. Offers 24 hour a day support in a shared home or an individual home. Staff work with individuals to develop a yearly plan with goals and outcomes. Assistance may include help monitoring medications, attending appointments, personal care, home making activities, social activities, strategies to compensate for cognitive, behavioral and physical challenges and more.
