Shriners Hospitals for Children is a one-of-a-kind pediatric hospital system improving the lives of children through innovative research, medical education and specialized treatment of orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate. Program includes Correctional Shoes, Prosthetic Devices, Hospitals, Spinal Cord Rehabilitation, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Burn Centers, Cleft Lip/Palate Clinics, Pediatrics.

      Provides treatment by a multidisciplinary group of specialists who work as a team to improve the child’s appearance and their ability to eat, breathe and communicate.                                       Description

                                      Provides individualized, comprehensive care plans for patients with spinal cord injuries. In addition to providing treatment, staff works with the patient’s family members to help them understand the social, emotional and developmental implications of a spinal cord injury to help ensure the best possible outcome for the child, including the ability to have a full, productive life.
