Description:
The SEMO Veterans Treatment Court meets the needs of veterans that have been identified in the criminal justice system with substance abuse problems and mental health issues. This is a long-term treatment program that provides veterans the opportunity to lead a productive and law-abiding life through a comprehensive treatment program and judicial supervision. Provides substance abuse and mental health treatment ; coupled with academic/vocational skills improvement, asstance with residential stabilization, out-patient and/or transitional services and assistance with job placement and job retention.

Description
Offers a specialized criminal court docket for veterans that have been identified as having a substance abuse dependency and/or a mental illness and have been charged with a felony criminal offense. The veteran participates in an 18 month out-patient treatment program that focuses on the identified needs of the veteran.
