Description:

The recently merged divisions of Air Quality and Environmental Health work to provide a safe and healthy community through the administration of regulatory programs covering swimming pools, schools, retail food outlets, private wastewater treatment systems and ambient air quality. The core programs function to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations; often through permitting, compliance assistance, enforcement, and surveillance. Each program has public education and outreach components as well. Field staff conduct inspections and complaint investigations of facilities and homes across the county.
