The Child Care Services Program works with all child care providers in Wyandotte County. According to Kansas Child Care Licensing Law, anyone providing out of home care for children birth to (16) years of age other than those related by blood, marriage, or adoption, must be licensed or registered with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

Description
The Child Care Services Program works with all childcare providers in Wyandotte County. Licensing surveyors complete all childcare related inspections including initial, annual and complaint investigations. The Child Care Licensing Division also offers KDHE approved trainings for childcare providers, presents orientation meetings for new providers, and provides resources for licensed providers.

Wyandotte County resident, 18 years of age and older, high school graduate or have a GED
Fees
$10 orientation fee; plus admin fee and city occupation tax to Unified Government and license fee to state of Kansas
