The VA offers a housing voucher program called HUD-VASH that works similarly to Section 8. Veterans can attend a weekly information session that explains this program as well as other community housing programs and resources. If a veteran is eligible for HUD-VASH, a referral will be taken immediately after the group.

Proof of homelessness documentation and DD 214 if available.
Eligibility
Yearly income must not exceed the Housing Authority income guidelines. FY 20 limit for a single individual is $30,100; Must be Homeless per federal definition (preference given to chronically homeless and vulnerable individuals); Must be eligible & registered for Veteran Health benefits; Cannot be on National Sex Offender Registry or required to register
