Public transportation system, providing service to everyone including senior citizens and persons with disabilities. Offers GoogleTransit online to help riders find routes & schedules. KCATA provides transportation to vote at polling places for voting on election day.
Current and former members of the military are able to ride KCATA buses for free any time, any route. Veterans should show identification from KCVA, military ID card, or state ID card with Veteran status to the bus driver. Please note that Veterans will not be eligible for VA travel pay if they ride the bus to a VA medical appointment.

Description
AdVANtage Vanpool is an organized ride-sharing arrangement where a group of commuters ride to and from work on a regular basis. The program provides 8-passenger or 12-passenger vans. AdVANtage is available in areas where The Metro does not offer bus service.

Driver will be required to provide documentation of age, employment, license, insurance, driving history and will be required to do background check

Requirements for the driver, six participants are required to start a vanpool, call for info
Fees
The driver typically pays no monthly fee and is allowed up to 500 personal-use and other non-commute miles per month. Riders pay an affordable, low monthly fare. Vehicle licensing, insurance, service maintenance and ALL commuting costs, such as gasoline, are covered by the AdVANtage.

Reduced Fare Program requires a copy of your birth certificate, driver's license, or passport. Persons with disabilities must have their physician or one of The Metro's certifying agencies complete the back of the application OR provide a copy of your Medicare Card. SSI recipients must attach an award letter dated within the past two years
Eligibility
Reduced Fare Program can save money for senior citizens (65 or older), persons with disabilities and youths (12-18). Fare Assist provides discounted fares to low-income individuals who qualify, available through certified social services
