Description:
The transitional housing program provides 90 days of rent and utility free housing, in a private, fully furnished apartment, to homeless households. Adults in the household are required to find and maintain 32-40 hours per week of employment upon program entry, and to attend weekly counseling sessions in budgeting, case management, life-skills, and community living, to support the skills necessary for independent living. Transitional housing facilities are located in Missouri in Independence and Lee!s Summit, and in Kansas in Overland Park and Kansas City.

Eligibility
Households must be homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness. Adults must be able and willing to obtain and maintain 32-40 hours per week of employment, and to participate in supportive services sessions each week.

Intake Procedure
Apply online on the "Apply for Housing" page at www.hillcrestkc.org to complete application. After applying, Hillcrest asks that you call them daily to let them know you're still interested in housing.
