The Roeland Park Police Department now has a drop-off bin available for expired or unused prescription drugs. Items that can be dropped-off include prescription medications, ointments, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, samples and pet medications. Among other items, needles are NOT accepted.

Description
This police department is a safe haven for persons wishing to legally surrender physical custody of their infant. A parent or other person having lawful custody of an infant may leave the infant (without fear of prosecution) in the hands of staff. A parent will not be prosecuted for leaving their newborn at a safe haven if they follow the laws, assuming the child is under 45 days old and shows no signs of abuse or neglect.
