Description
Incarcerated Veteran Re-Entry Program: Engage veterans up to six months prior to release from prison and up to four months after release, to start the process of engagement of Veterans Affairs. Prior to release, the Veterans Affairs specialist can assist in obtaining enrollment forms, information on Veterans Affairs medical services, mental health services and services for the homeless.

HUD-VASH Program (Housing & Urban Development -VA Supportive Housing Program): A partnership between the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) provides Housing Choice vouchers for permanent housing to homeless veterans, while Veterans Affairs provides veterans with case management and support services to promote and maintain recovery and housing.
