City Union Mission Community Assistance reaches out to homeless and low-income women and families living in the Kansas City area with the following services: clothing, house wares, furniture, food, utilities and seasonal programs such as school supplies and Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance.

Required Documents

Proof of all household income (can be food stamp card), photo ID, SS card and for all legal dependents they need to bring either a birth certificate or Medicaid card (or a document bearing the birth date of the dependent)

Eligibility

Serves qualified single women, women with legal dependents under the age of 18 living in the household year round, legally married couples with or without children, and fathers with legal dependents living in the household year round, and other relationships as determined by legal custody of children (foster care, grandparents, etc.). They are not able to serve single men; must be 130% of poverty. Bill must be past due; disconnect not required. Cannot help with over $175.
