Adapted Computer Equipment Donation Programs

Programs that accept used computers and associated hardware and software which has been adapted for use by people with disabilities, refurbish them if necessary, and keep them for use in their own program or donate them to other nonprofit organizations with limited budgets that cannot afford to purchase these items.

Daily Living Aid Donation Programs

Programs that accept equipment that has been especially designed or adapted to assist people who have physical disabilities to bathe, shave, dress, brush their teeth, comb their hair, prepare their meals, eat, drink, clean their homes and perform other daily tasks, refurbish it if necessary, and keep it for use in their own program or donate it to other community-based organizations for their own use or for distribution to the people they serve.

Glasses Donation Programs

Programs that accept new or secondhand eyeglasses, repair the items if necessary, and keep the glasses for people in their own programs or donate them to other community-based organizations for distribution to the people they serve.

Hearing Augmentation Aid Donation Programs

Programs that accept hearing aids and/or other hearing augmentation equipment, refurbish them if necessary, and keep them for use in their own program or donate them to community-based organizations for their own use or for distribution to the people they serve.

Hospital Bed Donation Programs

Programs that accept beds that are designed for use by people who are convalescing following surgery or illness, refurbish them if necessary, and keep them for use in their own program or donate them to other community-based organizations for their own use or for distribution to the people they serve.

Medical Supplies Donation Programs

Programs that accept first aid kits, bandages and other medical dressing, ostomy supplies, incontinence supplies, compression hosiery, hernia supports, bed pans and other medical supplies and keep them for use in their own program or donate them to other community-based organizations for their own use or for distribution to the people they serve. Also included are programs that are accepting COVID-19 related supplies including hand sanitizer, disposable gloves, face masks, face shields and personal protective equipment (PPE) for health care workers.

Monitoring Equipment Donation Programs

Programs that accept equipment which keeps track of specific bodily functions such as respiration, heart beat or blood pressure and which may sound an alarm when an individual's functioning falls into abnormal ranges, refurbish it if necessary, and keep it for use in their own program or donate it to other community-based organizations for their own use or for distribution to the people they serve.

Respiratory Aid Donation Programs

Programs that accept air purifiers, humidifiers, oxygen concentrators, portable volume ventilators and other aids which enables people who have ongoing respiratory disorders to breathe comfortably, refurbish them if necessary, and keep them for use in their own program or donate them to other community-based organizations for their own use or for distribution to the people they serve.

Speech Aids Donation Programs

Programs that accept products which enhance the ability of people who are nonvocal or have speech impairments to communicate (e.g., gesture systems, communication boards, computer-based systems, speech amplifiers, speech clarifiers, artificial larynges), refurbish them if necessary, and keep them for use in their own program or donate them to other community-based organizations for their own use or for distribution to the people they serve.

Walking Aid Donation Programs

Programs that accept canes, crutches, walkers and other walking aids, refurbish them if necessary, and keep them for use in their own program or donate them to other community-based organizations for their own use or for distribution to the people they serve.

Wheelchair Donation Programs

Programs that accept powered or manual wheelchairs, refurbish them if necessary, and keep them for use in their own program or donate them to other community-based organizations for their own use or for distribution to the people they serve.
