Description:
Literacy KC is the premiere resource for low-literate adults to achieve literacy skills in the Kansas City community. Adult learners can enroll in a class to improve reading and writing skills, learn digital skills in our community computer lab, or learn strategies to increase reading in the home while earning free children's books through the Let's Read program. Additionally, adult learners can engage in creative writing workshops through Writers for Readers, a partnership with UMKC's creative writing department, or complete an accredited online high school diploma through Career Online High School in partnership with Kansas City Public Library and Mid-Continent Public Library.
