WILS strives to enable people with disabilities to effectively exercise their rights to obtain services and benefits. WILS provides advocacy for consumers on an ongoing basis. An Independent Living Specialist works closely with the consumers to instill skills that allow the consumer to become a self-advocate. WILS also works with local, state and federal entities to obtain equal access to opportunities in the community

Description
Consumer Directed Services or CDS is a Home and Community Based Service program covered under Medicaid that helps people with significant disabilities obtain assistance with personal care. WILS CDS will train program participates to hire their own caregiver.

Description
Missouriâs Telecommunication Access Program (TAP) provides equipment to qualifying individuals who have difficulties using the phone because of a disability. WILS TAP is a certified demonstration site and has TAP certified agents who will demonstrate the TAP phones for your specific needs and ensure the TAP phone will meet your communication goal and assist qualified individuals with the application process.
