Description
Missouri Assistive Technology operates the Equipment Technology Consortium (ETC) which is a short-term assistive technology equipment loan program for school districts and agencies in Missouri. Districts or agencies can borrow equipment on behalf of individuals with disabilities to try out the equipment before purchasing, for use during the time equipment is in repair, or for other short-term needs. Districts or agencies can borrow equipment for up to six weeks. The program includes a wide range of equipment including switches and mounts, computer access devices, environmental controls, hearing devices, home modifications, visual aids and augmentative communication devices. Product demonstrations are given for proper use of equipment.

Description
The Telecommunications Access Program for Telephone (TAP-T) provides access to basic voice telephone calling for individuals with all types of disabilities through the delivery of adaptive telephone equipment: text telephones, voice carry over phones, phone for hearing carry over, amplified phones, Braille phones, hands-free phones, photo phones and Captel phones. Training is also provided on the proper use of the equipment.

Eligibility
Missouri resident with telephone service in your home. Must have a certified disability that prevents you from accessing or effectively using basic telephone services with standard telephone equipment. - Annual adjusted income cannot exceed $60,000 for an individual or an individual plus a second exemption, spouse or dependent. .

Description
The Telecommunications Access Program for Internet (TAP-I) provides to Missourians who cannot use traditional computer equipment, the adaptive computer equipment necessary for basic access to the Internet and e-mail. The program provides such equipment as screen enlargement software, screen readers, adaptive keyboards or alternative pointing devices such as trackballs or rollerballs. TAP-I provides web sites that are adapted for assistive technology users. Also provided: consumer support to applicants in determining the adaptive computer equipment needed for Internet access and training on how to use the adaptive equipment to access the Internet and e-mail.

Eligibility
There are four qualifications for the Telecommunications Access Program for Internet. The applicant must: (1) be a Missouri resident (2) have an annual household income under $60,000 for two people; with $5,000 being added for each additional dependent (3) have a computer in their home (4) have internet access.
