Description
Vision Rehabilitation Center of the Ozarks (VRCO) provides Neuro Optometric Rehabilitation. Damage to the brain caused by strokes, head trauma, tumors, aneurysm correction, anoxia, menengitis, lack of oxygen; or degenerative disease such as Parkinson's and Supra nuclear palsy often affects vision. Common systems such as double, vision, loss of vision on one side, poor eye muscle control, reading difficulties, and problems with balance including dizziness and vertigo, gait problems, falls often present as reading problems, faulty depth perception, poor eye hand coordination, visual location and navigation problems. Utilizing special lenses, prisms or eye exercise activities VRCO works to correct or minimize th3e impact of many of these symptoms.

Description
The First Steps Vision Services provided by VRCO provides children with visual impairments, ages birth to three years, and their families the initial supports to positively impact development during the early childhood years. In-home services work one-on-one with children, ages birth to three years, and their families to teach how to maximize the vision the children have, safely explore new environments, adapt environments for learning, target developmental and more.

Description
A VRCO Occupational Therapist performs evaluations to determine a person's physical capabilities and how best to administer a personalized rehabilitation program. The individualized rehabilitation program is based on doctors' and therapists' findings, and the occupational therapist guides the client through rehabilitation techniques including training with devices, performance enhancing activities and home or workplace modification recommendations.
