Description:

KanCare is the program through which the State of Kansas administers Medicaid. Program provides insurance for little or no cost. KanCare, formerly HealthWave, was created for uninsured children, ages 0-19, living in households with income levels at or below the Federal poverty level. Adults and pregnant people may qualify for coverage, however the household size and income guidelines are different.

Apply online, mail or fax in completed application or fax to clearinghouse, along with required documents; applications should take 45 days or less.

    Description

    With a KanCare Appeal of an Adverse Action (also referred to as an MCO Appeal), the Managed Care Organization (Amerigroup, Sunflower or United) team will review your case information and any new documentation you send to determine if they agree with you or with the original decision.
