Eligibility
When adopting a pet some local veterinarians provide a free exam within 48 hours of adoption; It is mandatory under state law to spay or neuter adopted pets within 48 hours, call for details
Fees
$60 for pet adoptions (includes first vaccinations, spay/neutering, and de-worming)
Intake Procedure
Self-referral by phone is preferred If reporting a lost pet or found pet, complete the Lost Pet/Found Pet form on the website www.joplinhumane.org and fax it to (417) 623-5343 or bring it to the Humane Society
