Description:

The Epilepsy Foundation of Missouri and Kansas (EFMK) works to prevent, control, and cure epilepsy through community services, public education, federal and local advocacy and supporting research into new treatments and therapies to ensure that people with seizures are able to participate in all life experiences. Services include Protection and Advocacy for Individuals With Disabilities, Supported Living Services for Adults With Disabilities, Specialized Information and Referral, and Workshops/Symposiums.

          Description

          Provide part-time individualized services that focus on increasing skills, promoting independence, maximizing self-determination and increasing participation in the community. Services may include help with budgeting and paying bills, meal planning and cooking, medical appointments, home management, etc. Services are usually 6-10 hours a week.
