Offers assistance with paying utility bills, which may include: metered services such as electric and gas bills, and non-metered services such as oil, wood, coal and propane. May also pay reconnect fees. Currently funding available as of October 1, 2011 for elderly and disabled only. November 1, 2011 funding will open for others. If clients have received assistance in the past they will receive an application in the mail after the appropriate date. Weatherization and minor home repairs to assist low-income people, especially the elderly, individuals with disabilities and/or those with small children to conserve energy through the installation of weatherization materials. Weatherization uses an energy audit procedure to establish cost effective weatherization measures. The audit also calculates the reduction in energy usage.
