Description:
Low-interest loans to eligible persons with disabilities in Missouri to specifically purchase assistive technology. Some examples of what assistive technology that can be financed are: hearing aids, electric scooters, power chairs, augmentative communication devices, electronic print enlarging devices and other equipment made for persons with disabilities. Loans may also be made for evaluation or training to learn how to use an assistive technology device. Loans may be obtained for disability-related modifications to motor vehicles such as wheelchair lifts, ramps or motor vehicle hand controls. Loans may be used for home owners to modify their home of access needs such as wheelchair ramps, stair lifts, widening doorways, and bathroom modifications. It does not cover home repairs, paying of large debt, and other financing needs that are not considered assistive technology.

Individuals with a disability or their caregivers or family members. Loan can only be used for assistive technology to aid in becoming more independent.
Fees
Individuals can borrow from $500 up to $15,000 and up to $30,000 for a vehicle. Generally, the maximum loan term will be 60 months or less.
