Description
For those with chronic depression, we offer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). TMS treatment is a non-invasive treatment for medication-resistant depression. It is not new. The FDA approved TMS as a treatment for depression approximately two years ago and itâs been used as a treatment for more than a decade. TMS consists of five treatments per week over a 4 to 6 week period. Each treatment session lasts just 20 minutes. More than 50 percent of patients experience an improvement of mood, while one out of three TMS patients, experience complete remission.
