Description:

Provides assistance and friendship to seniors who have difficulty with daily living tasks, such as shopping or paying bills. Aims to keep seniors independent longer, and offer respite to family caregivers. Services include Congregate Meals/Nutrition Sites, Disability Related Transportation, Tax Preparation Assistance, Welfare Rights Assistance, Blood Pressure Screening, Specialized Telecommunications Equipment, Therapeutic Exercise, Flu Vaccines, Senior Companion Program, Exercise Classes/Groups, Recreational Activities/Sport, Computer Literacy Training Programs, Field Trips/Excursions, Health/Disability Related Support Groups, Volunteer Recruitment/Placement, In Person Crisis Intervention, Housing Advocacy Groups, Extreme Cold Warming Centers, Extreme Heat Cooling Centers, Specialized Information and Referral, and Subject Specific Public Awareness/Education.
