Year round program that allows client to choose either gas or electric, instead of primary heating source, EA application window is open year round, EA AND ECIP amounts have doubled with a one-time payment of $636 for EA and $1,600 for ECIP. Customers do not have to be past due or disconnected to receive funds, just experiencing a financial loss, hardship, life-threatening condition or any circumstance that threatens stability if energy aid is not supplied.

Eligibility

Customers do not have to be past due or disconnected to receive funds, just experiencing a financial loss, hardship, life-threatening condition or any circumstance that threatens stability if energy aid is not supplied. Beginning, 11/22/21, any household that has already received EA benefits prior to these changes, will receive a supplemental amount (to the same supplier) to pay the difference up to $636.

Applications can be picked up at the office and then either mailed in or returned to the following address (Community Action Partnership, 817 Monterey, St. Joseph, MO 64503. The application is also available online at the CAP website.
